Mr. Robert Scott
On November 13, 1948, Mr. Robert Leon Scott was born to the late Julian and Frankie Scott of Brooks County, Dixie, Georgia.
Mr. Scott received his early education in the Brooks County School system. He also attended Thomasville Tech.
He joined the Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. At a later age, he became a member of St. Phillips A.M.E. Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Scott served his country through the United States Air Force, 1967 – 1974. After being discharged his residence of choice was Atlanta, GA until recent years, then relocated to Douglas, GA.
On Friday, January 26, 2024, Mr. Robert Leon Scott, was called from labor to reward.
He leaves to cherish his memories: One son, Todd (Oppie) Williams, Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Virgil (Teresa) Scott, Sr.: Douglas, GA: Anthony (Jeannette) Scott, Sr: one sister, Carolyn Scott, Albany, GA. One brother-in-law, Terry Oates, Douglas, GA. One aunt, Eloise Lane, Quitman, GA. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Julian L. Scott, Sr, and Frankie Scott, one brother, Julian L. Scott, Jr: Three sisters: Sylvia Oates, Jacquelyn Dyer, and Gloria Franklin. He was admired by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 4:30 P.M. at the Simmon Hill M.B. Church in Dixie, Georgia with Rev. Virgil Scott officiating. Burial followed at the Scott Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Dixie.
