Obituary For Pastor Johnny Lee Wolfe

Pastor Johnny Lee Wolfe, Sr. 71, formerly of Thomasville, Georgia transitioned to rest on March 17, 2023.

He was born July 17, 1951, in Cook County (Adel) Georgia to the late Mr. B.J. and Mattie Lee Hill Wolfe., that precedes him in death. He is also preceded in death by his siblings; sister Goldie McCoy, brothers James Wolfe, Sr. and Joe Frank Wolfe.

In 1969 he was a graduate of Pinevale High School in Valdosta, Georgia and received his degree of ministry from Aenon Bible College in 1996.

Johnny met and united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life Ruby Lee (Thomas) Wolfe in 1977, celebrating 45 years of marriage. Being a devout Christian, he accepted and received “Christ As His Lord and Savior” in 1982, attending Church of God in Christ (Faith Temple Church) in Cairo, Georgia. He received his ordination in 1997 as Elder at Mount Sinai Apostolic Church in Thomasville, Georgia.

In 2006 he accepted his call to Pastor at New Life Church in addition to Pastoring at Faith Temple Church of Thomasville, Georgia from 2008 to 2010.

Being extremely faithful to his spiritual calling, in 2010 he became the founder and overseer of Faith and Grace Ministries in Thomasville, Georgia. He was a dedicated, hard worker as a tire service professional AKA “the tireman”. Employers of Thomasville Georgia were Aligood Tire, Stringer Tire, and the latter being at Snider Tire until retirement.

He leaves to honor his memory and celebrate his life; his loving wife Ruby Lee Wolfe; Daughter: Frances Jones (Robert); Sons: Freddie Lamons, Richard Lee Wolfe (Debrah) of St. Petersburg, Fl., Johnny Lee Wolfe, Jr. (Vickie), Tracy Wolfe (Teresa) of Adel, GA; his abundance of grandkids and great grands kids; Sisters: Ruby Henderson, of Valdosta, GA and Jane Carter-Davis of St Petersburg, FL; Brothers: Joe H. Wolfe of Quitman, GA; J.B. Wolfe (Mammie) of Barwick, GA; Calvin Wolfe of California; Sisters-in-law Theresa McCaskill of Valdosta, GA, Gloria Davis of Albany, GA, Rutha Mae Lord, and Jennifer Cody (Keith) of Barwick, GA; Brothers-in-law Andrew Thomas of Tampa FL, Jeff Daniels and Earl Dawson of Barwick, GA; God sister Veronica as well as a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Johnny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend who loved to entertain. When he entered your presence, you were no longer a stranger, you became his friend.

Visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 1PM-7PM.

Home going services will be Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 3PM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Thomasville, GA with Pastor Charlie Dunbar, officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Rest Cemetery.
