She then attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where she received an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice in 1993. Lana met the love of her life, William Todd Cason, in the Fall of 1998. The two were united in holy matrimony on March 25, 2000, and to that union they were blessed with Amber Fason (Maurice), Chelsea Cason (Ryan), and William Cason Jr.

Lana worked as a school social worker for 19 years where she truly had a passion for being an advocate for children. She loved her career and her Wildcat community. More importantly, she loved God and served faithfully as the First Lady of Centennial Missionary Baptist Church, under leadership of her husband, for more than thirteen years. Lana’s life revolved around her husband, children and her love for God.
She leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memories. Additionally, Lana leaves (Cynthia, Sabrina, Sandra, Teresa) and a special group of high school friends, “the Hightower Crew” (Chandra, Michelle, Pam, Tammy, Tracy) to cherish recent and distant memories filled with laughter.
