Mother Ethel Reynolds, affectionately called Queen but known to most as “Niggie” age 87, was born August 28, 1937 to the late Henry and Dollie Denson. Mother Reynolds was married to the late Wallace Reynolds, and to their union sixteen children were born.
Mother Reynolds was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist church where she attended faithfully until her health declined. She loved the Lord and instilled that same love for the Lord in her children and grandkids. Every opportunity she got to minister to others, she did just that. The one thing she always preached to everyone was, “Tell the Lord about her” and to “Stay prayed up!” She was such a beautiful spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Reynolds; her son, Tommy Gene Reynolds; her daughter, Corine Reynolds Frazier; three sisters; one brother; and five grandchildren.
Our queen leaves to cherish her memory, legacy, and wisdom, (14) children; Alene, Wallace Jr. (Kiesha), Josephine (Clyde), Denise, Rosa, Newton, Freddie (Valerie), Lena (Anthony), Isaac (Cassandra), Eric (Yalonda), Tammy, Earnest (Gwendolyn), Keith (Wealthy), Karen (Daryl); one brother, Jack Denson, one brother-in-law, Robert Rose; one sister, Mary Denson Sullivan; one sister-in-law, Emma Denson; a host of grandkids, great grandkids, great great-grandkids, nephews, nieces, cousins, close friends, a loving pastor, 1st lady, and her church family.
