Mrs. Mamie Davis, 78 Mrs. Mamie Davis was born December 29, 1938 to the late Frank Newsome and Mabel Hayman. She was married to the late Ted Davis, Sr. and was a member of Shumate Street Church of Christ in Quitman. She peacefully passed from this earthly life on November 13, 2016 at her home. She leaves to cherish her memories; seven children: Alberta (Alfred) Graham, Ted (Brandy) Davis, Jr., Pertina (Frank) Baker, Ernestine Davis, a special friend Jack Stokes, Annie (John) Jones, Rose (Randy) Mastin and Terry Davis; eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers (deceased); one step-mother and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Shumate Church of Christ in Quitman with Brother Tony Herring officiating. Burial followed in the North End Cemetery in Quitman.
