Obituary For George Jones

On July 28, 2023 God called his angel home, Mr. George Jones of Dixie, Georgia. He was born on March 1, 1937 to the late Ed and Flossie Mae Jones of Boston, Georgia. He was married to the late Elneta Swain Jones. He departed this life at the Heritage Nursing Home in Valdosta, Georgia.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his three children Helen Jones of Thomasville, GA, Dorothy Jones of Quitman, GA and Michael Jones of Dixie, GA; his four loving grandchildren who he cherished, Kelvin, Kendrick, Demetrius and Danita.

He was a brother to eight siblings; five which are deceased: Ned Jones, Mary Jones, Quessie Mae Robinson, Frank Jones and Sarah Wright; three living siblings Doris Jones and Vertis Paytee of Boston, GA and James Hebert Jones of Thomasville ,GA; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Daniels of Madison, FL and Ceda Robison of Valdosta, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11AM at Simmon Hill MB Church Cemetery.
