Obituary For Donnie “DP” Peterson

Donnie Peterson "DP" was born on December 13, 1950. to the late Mr. Henry Peterson and Mrs. Elsie Cason Peterson. He was preceded in death by both parents: one sister, Forestine Dixon; and one brother, Leroy Peterson.

Donnie was a devoted employee at Flower's Bakery Company for forty years. Don, as he was affectionately called, had a heart of gold. He departed from this earthly life on January 26, 2023.

Donnie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of fifty years, Lizzie Peterson of Quitman, GA; two brothers David Quinn, Sr., and Bennie Peterson, Sr. (Mattie), both of Atlanta, Ga: two very special caregivers Lateisha Mitchell and Re'Marion "RJ' Jenkins, both of Quitman, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 5PM-7PM.
