Obituary For Arthur Williams, Sr.

Mr. Arthur L. Williams, 79 Arthur Lee Williams, Sr. was born on August 30, 1937 to the late John and Idella Williams. Arthur was educated through the public school system in Quitman, Georgia. He was an entrepreneur who ran his own company, Williams and Son Logging for 41 years. He retired in 2005. He married Flossie Williams on January 8, 1964. He and his wife lived and thrived in Quitman for more than fifty-two years and was a faithful member of the House of God Church in Quitman, for many years before he took ill. On Saturday, December 3, 2016 Arthur made his transition into eternal rest into the arms of his Heavenly Father. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Flossie Williams; Sons: Arthur Williams, Jr. (Teresa) Quitman, GA, Anthony Williams (Tara) Lumberton, New Jersey, and Robert Watts Quitman, GA; Daughters: Sharon Ferrell Quitman, GA, Idella Williams, Valdosta, GA; Barbara Scott (Derek), Valdosta, GA: India Hollis (Alex) Quitman, GA: Dorothy Spencer, Delray Beach, FL Funeral services were held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the House of God Keith Dominion Church in Quitman with Pastor Gloria Moore Wright officiating.
