Fabria Glenise Rountree, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Fabria was born on July 29, 1955 to the late Hubert G. Rountree and Ernestine Roulhac Rountree in Portsmouth, Virginia. Fabria, nicknamed “Niece”, enjoyed art and loved doing crafts as well as putting puzzles together. She loved R&B and Gospel music and enjoyed watching old black and white movies. Fabria received her education with the Portsmouth Public School system and later established herself as a domestic technician who took pride in her work. Fabria was soft spoken and caring and looked out for her six younger siblings. Left to cherish her memories is her mother Ernestine Rountree; two brothers, Roderick Rountree and Derrick Rountree (Patrice); four sisters, Tina Rountree-Carroll (Terry), Carla Perkins (Alfred), Glenda Cannady (Anton), Deborah Rountree; four nephews, Cedric Rountree (Anya), Antonio Rountree, Tyree Rountree, Stefon Rountree; two nieces, Ayanna Cannady and Latifah Patterson (Gregory); three great-nephews, Gregory Patterson III, Carter Plain, and Cameron Rountree; and a host of family and friends. Though Fabria will be deeply missed, we can cherish our memories of Fabria to remind us to continue to seek joy in the many circumstances we encounter during our temporary stay on earth. Fabria's viewing will began on Tuesday, July 5th from 3pm to 5pm. The Rountree family wish to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for the many prayers and expressions of sympathy. Especially to the workers at Rosemont Health and Rehabilitation and the team at Kindred Hospice.
My sincere prayers and deepest sympathy to Ms. Ernestine and family. Niece will truly be missed. We had wonderful times at Rosemont in the Activity Room until I left in March. She was our girl, and yes crafts, music, movies and lots of laughs. It was such a blessing to have met her and the time we spent together. Terri Shorter.
