Obituary For Leon Duffey

DUFFEY, Leon age 59 of Lithonia, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11AM in Rose Garden Cemetery, McDonough.

Mr. Leon Duffey was born on March 21, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia to Mrs. Susie Alexander-Duffey and Mr. Leonard Nash. He was educated in the Atlanta Public School System and graduated from East Atlanta High School. He later enlisted and served in the United States Army.

Leon loved playing basketball and spending time with his family. He was employed with Duncan Moving & Storage for many years until he relocated back home to Georgia.

Leon was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Leonard Nash and one sister, Mrs. Alline Duffey Marshall. He transitioned to be with his heavenly Father on June 14, 2020 at the age of 59.

Leon leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Susie Alexander-Duffey; two sisters, Christine Richardson and Susie Duffey; one brother, Reginald Duffey; five nieces; five nephews; one aunt, Sarah Lumbus; and a myriad of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
