Zachary “Curtis” Rainey, Sr. was born the late John B. Rainey and Sarah M. Rainey on April 7, 1958, in New york City, NY. In 1975, he graduated from Lakewood High School, St. Petersburg, FL. He was employed at Home Shopping Network for 12 years and Trans Global Communications, Inc. for 13 years. Curtis enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, watching movies and traveling. He is preceded in death by his father, John B. Rainey and brother, Francis Gadson. He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife of 32 years, Teresa Rainey; his mother, Sarah Rainey of South Carolina; his sons, Zachary “Tank” Rainey, Jr. and Darion Breedlove (Felicia); his daughters, Andria Aiken (Sean) of South Carolina, Latoria Hampton (Ulysees), Kamoya Breedlove (John), Jasmaine “Baby Bop”Rainey, and Ja’Nyla Smith; Brother, Gregory Rainey of South Carolina; Sister Yvonne Rainey (Thomas) of South Carolina; uncles, Martin Rainey (Joanne) and Charles Robinson (Daisy) of Georgia; father- in-law, Willie Swinton; Deionte Swinton; 14 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Graveside services 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Largo Municipal Cemetery 1232 Jasper Street, Largo, FL 33770. Visitation Friday, July 24 6-8 PM at Smith-Young FH & CS-Clearwater.
