Roland Devine was born on January 5, 1948, in Clearwater, Florida to Sam Devine, Sr. and Dorothy Devine. Roland was a graduate of Pinellas High School, Class of 1966. He continued his education at Texas Southern College for two years. Roland played golf and was on the swim team. He was Class President and played in the band.
Roland was drafted and served his country honorably in the United States Navy on the Navigator Enterprise for four years. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Roland became employed with Winn Dixie, Marv’s Meats and later, Roland’s Meat Market. He was a member of the Elks.
Roland will be affectionately remembered as loving to work in his yard, watching football and westerns and playing solitaire.
Roland Devine departed from this earthly life on April 22, 2024, in Clearwater, Florida.
He is predeceased by his parents, Sam Devine, Sr. and Dorothy Devine, daughter, Rolanda Devine, brothers, Arthur Devine and Sam Devine, Jr. and sisters, Edith Burney, and Veronica Devine.
