Obituary For Mr. Timothy Tyrone Diggs

Mr. Timothy Tyrone Diggs, son of Margaret Pegues Diggs and Bennie Frank Diggs, Sr. was born March 11, 1969. He was called home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at his residence in Lilesville, North Carolina.

Timothy attended Anson Senior High School, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Timothy accepted Christ at an early age. He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Timothy (lovingly called “Tim”) enjoyed meeting people. He never met a stranger. He dearly loved his children, his family and the special bond he had with his brothers.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Bennie F. Diggs, Sr.; his grandparents, Show and Mary Pegues and John and Ruby Diggs; three brothers, Elliott L. Diggs, Anthony J. Diggs (his twin) and Eric S. Diggs.

Timothy was a devoted and loving father to his children.

Timothy leaves to cherish his memories: his children (twins), Lashaun Renay Diggs and Timothy Deshawn Diggs of Lilesville, North Carolina. His mother, Margaret Pegues Diggs of Lilesville, North Carolina. Four brothers, Bennie F. Diggs, Jr. (Robin) of Wadesboro, North Carolina, Kevin E. Diggs (Lenora) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jose M. Diggs (Michelle) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Mark A. Diggs (Terry Ann) of Wadesboro, North Carolina. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.

Timothy also leaves his memories with his special friends, Jennetta Walker and Monica Williams.

The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, September 3, 2023, 3:30pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the Centenary AME Zion Church, Lilesville, North Carolina.
