Mr. Paul Thomas Knotts, the son of the late Clinton (Buster) Knotts and Georgia Steward Knotts was born on March 9, 1942, in Polkton, North Carolina. He entered eternal sleep on Monday morning, January 08, 2024.
He was known to many as “Pee Wee”. Pee Wee was raised in a Christian family and was taught the value of hard work at an early age. He graduated from East Polkton High School in 1955. Upon graduating from high school, he headed North to Baltimore, Maryland and later New York City, New York.
Paul married the love of his life Annie Dolores Knotts in 1966 after meeting at the World Fair in New York City in 1964. Paul loved to travel and see the world. His occupation as a truck driver allowed him to navigate the United States and make friends in many places. Pee Wee never met a stranger and would spar over the bible and politics with any willing participant. He loved current events, had an appreciation for professional dress and loved to cook seafood dishes.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories and thunderous commands: Daughter, Kim Knotts of Mt. Vernon, NY; Son, Paul “Todd” Knotts of Waterbury, CT; and Granddaughter, Nicole Knotts of Mt. Vernon, NY. Two sisters, Florine Mackey and Pamela Rorie of Wadesboro, NC. Two brothers, James Knotts of Baltimore, MD, and Dennis Knotts of Wadesboro, NC.; one brother, Nathaniel Knotts, and two sisters, Peggy Chambers and Loretta Christon, preceded him in death. One uncle, Fred Knotts (Betty Ruth) of Polkton, NC; and nieces Vanessa Knotts, Teresa Christon, Fatima Witherspoon, Felicia Vice, Marchandra Gaddy, Dr. Takeda LeGrand and Cyekeshia Pickett; Nephews Fred Christon, Tony Knotts, Dennis Darrell Little, Markeith Knotts, and Roger “Petee” Rorie, Jr.; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
