Sending - Condolences to the ENTIRE Bennett/Tillman family. I, Catherine, knew Lee & his sister, Annie, when we grew up near (the Piney Grove/Pee Dee Baptist church communities. We met Lee later as a member/finance officer at the Centenary AME Zion Church, where His leadership was exemplified as calmness, trustworthiness, & easy to get along with. He silently, set 'Big' goals for his children as well as all the youth involved around him. (Look at them now..how they GREW!) Thankyou, Mr. Levander, for being Caleb & Catherine's friend. Sending my condolences to the Bennett Family. Oftentimes, I would show up and be a part of the early morning crew at Hatcher Park, and returning after a flare up, he would give me that encouraging word, as he was passing by. I remember him saying once...that's it sometimes you got to PUSH your way through, and I said that's right Mr. Bennett!
Lee was a fine man and friend. I will miss him. My prayers for his family.
