James Fred Bennett Jr. was born January 9, 1971 in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late Catherine and James Bennett whom preceded him in death. “Bootboy” or “Freddy” as he was so affectionately called, departed this life on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Freddy attended Anson County Schools. He was employed at Valley Proteins for 24 years. Freddy was known as an easy going, quiet, kind, and loving person.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Bennett.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Gloria Bennett; his son, Terrance Bennett; his daughter, Keyona Bennett. His brothers, Albert Bennett (Wadesboro, North Carolina), Stacey Bennett (Wadesboro, North Carolina), Gary Bennett (of the home), Fredrick Ratliff (Rockingham, North Carolina), Rickey Knotts (Wadesboro, North Carolina), Michael Smith (Marshville, North Carolina). His special friends, Terry McLendon (Lilesville, North Carolina) and Horace Hudson (Wadesboro, North Carolina). His two aunts, Elizabeth Kilgo (Steve) of Lilesville, North Carolina and Ruby Lilly (Wadesboro, North Carolina). Two uncles, Robert Douglas (Rockingham, North Carolina) and Charles Douglas (Charlotte, North Carolina). Two nieces, Tina Bennett (Wadesboro, North Carolina) and Brittany Bennett (Wadesboro, North Carolina).
A host of cousins, extended family and friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, April 30, 2022, 1:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be at Parson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Lilesville, North Carolina.
