Brian was born on September 19, 1957 to Norma Croston Curry in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised in the Bronx, New York by foster parents, the late Garfield and Mary Goring, along with his brother, Ronald Croston, and his sisters, the late Carol and Marie Goring. His other siblings are Calvin and Mimi Curry.
After graduating from Adlai Stevenson High School, he spent a year in college and then joined the United States Air Force, where he traveled the world. Upon leaving the Air Force, he worked at Andrew’s Air Force Base in Communications.
Upon leaving Andrew’s, he went into celebrity security, working with Luther Vandross for 15 years. He always talked about various stars, including Patti Labelle and her cooking.
Upon leaving security, he worked in the textile industry doing shipping and receiving and some security on the side until he retired due to a disability and relocated to New Jersey.
He left New Jersey in April 2021 to move to North Carolina to care for his mother. He was a loving and caring son; her baby boy took good care of her. Brian loved children and would go to New Jersey and Georgia and bring his nieces and nephews down to visit during vacation time. Uncle B was stern but fun.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Norma Curry of the home; his daughter, Brieonna Croston of Virginia; his brothers, Ronn Croston (Jona) of Texas and Calvin Curry (Rose) of Florida; his sister, Mimi Curry of New York; his life partner, Theresa Anderson of New Jersey and best friend, John Bello of New York. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
