Larry Franklin Bruce was born October 23, 1963 to Barbara Smith and Samuel Bruce in Cleveland, Ohio. God called him home on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Smith Johnson and Samuel Bruce; three children, Barbara, Larry, Jr. and Jaquan Bruce.
Larry received his education from Central Jr. High School and East Tech High School in Cleveland. Ohio. Larry earned the name 'Larry the Legend" as a Golden Glove Boxer. Larry was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh.
Larry was formally employed at Centre College.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Bruce, Campbellsville, KY; daughter Tanisha Bruce, Campbellsville, KY; sons, Dwight Simpson, Danville, KY and Alexander Penman, Nicholasville, KY; sisters, Kim Bruce Dent (Austin) and Angel Bruce Jones ( Jim) Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Michael Hughes (Brenda) Danville, KY and Danny Patterson, Lenoir, NC; sister in law, Norma Bruce, Louisville, KY; also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He will be truly missed by all family and friends.
