Deborah βDebbieβ Ann Prince, 71, passed quietly on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.
Debbie was born October 24, 1953, in Danville, Kentucky, to Carolyn Prince and the late Kenneth Prince.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Prince, grandmothers, Sonora Mae Jones and Mamie Taylor and her grandfathers.
Debbie was baptized at First Baptist Church Danville by Rev. P.A. Carter at the age of 9 years old. She graduated from Danville High School in 1971 and graduated 1975 from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in Social Work. While living in Louisville, Debbie attended St. Stephens Baptist Church and Oakland Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Phillip Morris USA as a supervisor, in Louisville, KY.
Debbie moved back to Danville to be close to her mother and still traveled back to Louisville to work at VITA, a free tax government agency for several years, she later worked at Ruth & Shearer, CPAs, LLC and Smith-Jackson Funeral Home. She was an active in the Danville Historical Society, serving in several roles for the organization.
She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Prince; her companion Jerry Bedinger; host of cousins, special friends.

The Louisville Urban League mourns the loss of Ms Debbie Prince a dedicated community member. Her efforts as a tax professional for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program benefitted many. Rest peacefully.
