Private graveside services will be held for Mrs. Hazel Bryant, 104, of 814 Redbank Road, Orangeburg, SC.
Mrs. Hazel Louise Bryant, the daughter of the late Hattie Felder Jeffcoat and Eddie Jeffcoat, was born April 1, 1916 in Cordova, SC. She entered eternal rest on June 8, 2020 at Edisto Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Orangeburg, SC.
She was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County, South Carolina.
Hazel accepted Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of Edisto Fork United Methodist Church until she was placed in a nursing home.
Hazel married the love of her life, Bennie Lee Bryant, and to this union they were blessed with adopted children as well as many children raised in their home as their children. They spent over 64 wonderful years together.
She was always a dedicated worker and retired from both Orangeburg County Schools and US Plywood. After retirement, she decided to be a homemaker, raise children and take care of her husband.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Lee Bryant; 11 brothers; and one beloved cousin, Mozella Hayward.
Hazel leaves to cherish precious memories, 2 daughters: Sylvia Bryant of Orangeburg, SC and Sharone (Harry) Orr of Pineland, SC; four children raised as daughters: Dale Smith of Orangeburg, SC, Latarsha (Gary) Brown of Tuscaloosa Alabama, Brenda Owens of Orangeburg, SC and Tiffany Jeffcoat of Charleston, SC; two children raised as sons: Tommy Curry of Orangeburg, SC and Trevon Curry both of Orangeburg, SC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; loving nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 1:00pm – 7:00pm.

Oh how I loved Hazel, listening to your stories about Bubba and Sylvia and popping me on the hand every now and then. I took care of this Very sweet woman for years. You will truly be missed and forever loved. Heaven gained an Angel. I love you always My Hazel.
