Funeral services for Mr. Tonio Johnson, 49, of 358 Gospel Hill Court, Orangeburg, SC, will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Right Directions Church International, 990 Willington Dr., Orangeburg, with interment to follow in Heavenly Rest Memorial Park. Reverend Trey Brave is officiating.
Mr. Johnson will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Tonio Lamont Johnson was born on May 5, 1970 in Orangeburg County. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 15, 2019 after an extended illness.
Tonio was educated in the Orangeburg Coun-ty School system. Upon graduating high school, he had several jobs; however, due to an unfortunate car accident, he was unable to continue working.
Tonio was an active member of Right Direction Christian Center of Orangeburg since 2007.
He was known for his sweet spirit and kindness to all he encoun-tered. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Abraham “Foot” Johnson; grandparents, Mr. Aubrey and Mrs. Mary Lee Johnson and Mrs. Louise Smith.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother, Lessie Ruth Johnson of the home; two daughters, Tierra Johnson of Columbia, SC and Tierra Hickson of Spartanburg, SC; son, Larry Johnson of Orangeburg, SC; grandchildren: Jayden Johnson and Janasia Johnson of Columbia, SC, Kyjuan Ellison and Larahia Johnson of Orangeburg, SC and Jaleal Johnson of Aiken, SC; one sister, Ava (Kevin) Smith of Charlotte N.C.; two brothers: Abraham Jamison of Orangeburg, SC and Tamarcy (Sharekia) Dash of Douglasville, GA; one god-sister, Stacy Maxwell Prince; special friends and caregivers: Aunt Betty Champy, Chavone McMichael of Orange-burg, SC, Alma Praylou of Camden, SC and Ebony Glover of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Johnson passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Calhoun Convalescent Center, St. Matthews, SC.
Visitation will be held 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm Friday, December 20, 2019.
