Graveside services for Mr. Larry Sanders, 71, of Bronx, NY, will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 27, 2022, at Heavenly Rest Memorial Park, Cordova, with interment to follow. Bishop Michael Butler is officiating.
Mr. Larry Sanders, the son of Jesse and Corine Sanders, was born March 4, 1951, in Orangeburg, SC. He departed this earthly home May 15, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Bronx, NY.
Growing up in Harlem, NYC, he went to Charles Evans Hughes High School. Then it was on the military, where he served in the United States Army at Fort Bragg, NC in the 82nd 505 Infantry Division Undercover Detail. After being Honorably Discharged, he returned to NYC to work at the Main Post Office in Brooklyn, until he retired. During that journey, in 1991, he rededicated his life to the Lord at the Salvation & Deliverance Church under the Apostle William Brown's Ministry...After retiring from the Post Office, he returned to his hometown of Orangeburg, where his current church is Victory Tabernacle of Deliverance under the Suffragan Bishop Michael C. Butler.
Larry was preceded in death his parents, two sisters, Margie Williams and Jessica Hook and one nephew, Delroy Sanders.''
Larry leaves to cherish fond memories, one sister, Carol Sanders; three children, Garry, Celeste, and Annette Mickens; his wife of many years Linda Bryant Sanders and six grandchildren, Nephews, Steveon Williams, Roger Williams, Skylar Williams, Jessie Sanders, Kwesi Best Swadel Sanders; Nieces, Michelle Adams, Erica Williams and Delfina Adams; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
