Bishop Riley was the epitome of what a true shepherd is and should be. He was in my life for 43 years, since I was nine years old. I'm going to truly miss Bishop, our church service, his preaching, teaching, wisdom, how he would hold each member hands and prayed for us after each church service, his encouraging words, laughter, guidance, passion, his love for all God's people, his concern about our souls, our conversations on the telephone, how he would be working in his garden, yet still find the time to teach me life lessons, our car rides together and how we work together at the church that he built with his own hands. He has truly made a huge impact on my life and it will never be the same without him. He worked so hard everyday in the vineyard and he taught us to do the same. His life spoke volumes! YES, he was a spiritual and a natural father to me.. Even though his flesh has died but his spirit will NEVER die.. I send my condolences to the Riley family and may God bless you. Sis. Bettie M. Harley
Bishop Riley was and will always be the best example of a father figure to me. He never change I came to Fellowship as a teenager and Bishop was the same no matter what he showed us love. I remember one of his saying "let's go down in prayer" I can hear him saying that. Moving back to SC I use to drive from Ladson SC Bishop told me baby you going to have to find a church close by I said to him I didn't want to because he can't be replaced. My heart is so hurt but I have beautiful memories of Bishop Riley. The last time I came to church was a Friday service Bishop ask me to read and the Bible was torn and the pages were out of order Bishop asked my sister Bettie Harley to help me find the scripture and I look up and I said"Bishop Riley of all the things you have taught us I know my Bible and where to find the scripture". Bishop could only laugh. What a great man of God. I'm comfort by the fact that Bishop Copelyn Riley is with Jesus and he lived a life before as he desires us to live. To the Riley family God bless and comfort you. Love you always Bishop Riley thank you for your life as one of the best examples in my life. Debra Ann Conner Taylor 2022.
