Obituary For Tony Eugene Snow

The late Mr. Tony Snow of 1380 Ocala Road, Apt. B-1, Tallahassee, Florida, departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his residence.

Tony Eugene Snow was born on July 25, 1968 to the late Mr. Eugene Snow and Mrs. Annie Doris Spencer in Turner County, Ashburn, Georgia, and was raised in Melbourne, Florida.

Tony attended Palm Bay High School, where he successfully completed 3 years in JROTC instruction in which he performed in an excellent manner and was recommended for a promotion to the rank of E-2. He would have gone on to further his military career after graduation from high school in 1986, but was set back by an unfortunate car accident that led him to other directions of promising careers. Tony then went on to attend Pensacola College where he received an Associate of Arts degree in Business, but that was not enough for Tony. Always striving to push himself to be better, Tony then went on to reside in Tallahassee, Florida, to attend FAMU College. He didn’t have a vehicle, so he rode his wheelchair back and forth to classes, rain or shine, for the whole duration of his attendance at FAMU. He graduated with Honors as he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Masters degree in Business and Finance.

After graduation from FAMU, Tony began working in the Accounting Department at Florida Department of Corrections until he departed from us. From childhood to adulthood, Tony was a great brother, friend, and motivator. He inspired people to want excel to their greatest potential. Most people from his early years would know and love him from his breakdancing days with his beloved awesome group, Mega Tron, which was well known across the state of Florida. Tony will be missed, but not dismissed because he touched a multitude of people’s hearts and will remain with them forever, especially his family. He gave up this busy walk of life on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home. His father, Eugene Snow, and a sister, Tonia Snow-Moreland both have preceded him in death.

Tony leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Annie Doris Spencer of Ashburn, Georgia, his brothers, Sandy (Cindy) Snow of Ashburn, Georgia, Tyrone Snow of Atlanta, Georgia; his sisters, Tanya Snow of Melbourne, Florida, Tammatha Snow of Ashburn, Georgia, Shalina Hornsby of Palm Bay, Florida; two nieces, five nephews, many god kids, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other very special friends.

A shining light never goes away or gets dim. Tony will always shine brightly in my heart. We met as teenagers and throughout the many years our friendship never skipped a beat. It only grew deeper. Tony was a loyal and dearest friend. I am a better person for him being a part of my life. May God comfort the family and bring peace in a time of need. Much love to you all. Vel Johnson, Orlando, FL

I met Tony when I was in nursing school back in the early 90's. I had quit work to pursue my schooling. I soon realized I needed to help out with the bills. I found a listing from Tony for part time help and met with him. We both agreed it would work for both of us. He was so inspirational to me and gave me the best advice for schooling and life situations. His laugh kept me going everyday. I know for a fact he helped me more than I helped him. He was that great! My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family and friends. I know we all love him so much! I read something last night that was meant for me to see. I'll share it with you all...."Remember, there are other worlds to sing in." I truly know that he had completed his task on this earth that God had for him to do. He called Tony home. He is now singing and dancing in a much better place. Can't wait to see him again one day! Love to you all! Laurie and Stephen Marsh

"Morning"-by C.H. Spurgeon:

"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."-Psalm 30:5

Christian! If thou art in a night of trial, think of the morrow; cheer up thy heart with the thought of the coming of thy Lord. Be patient, for

"Lo! He comes with clouds descending."

Be patient! The Husbandman waits until He reaps His harvest. Be patient; for you know who has said, "Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according as his work shall be." If you are never so wretched now, remember

"A few more rolling suns, at most, Will land thee on fair Canaan's coast."

Thy head may be crowned with thorny troubles now, but it shall wear a starry crown ere long; thy hand may be filled with cares-it shall sweep the strings of the harp of heaven soon. Thy garments may be soiled with dust now; they shall be white by-and-by. Wait a little longer. Ah! how despicable our troubles and trials will seem when we look back upon them! Looking at them here in the prospect, they seem immense; but when we get to heaven we shall then

"With transporting joys recount, The labours of our feet."

Our trials will then seem light and momentary afflictions. Let us go on boldly; if the night be never so dark, the morning cometh, which is more than they can say who are shut up in the darkness of hell. Do you know what it is thus to live on the future-to live on expectation-to antedate heaven? Happy believer, to have so sure, so comforting a hope. It may be all dark now, but it will soon be light; it may be all trial now, but it will soon be all happiness. What matters it though "weeping may endure for a night," when "joy cometh in the morning?"

Without any effort, Tony just had a way of making you feel special. It is obvious why he is so loved. The saying "A heart is not judged by how much it loves, but how it is loved by others" is Tony. Those who knew him, adored him. I will miss or chats and his popping up to say hello. He really made the world a better place. Rest In Peace my friend. You are loved and will be missed.

There has been so much loss this year and I am so sorry to hear my cousin has passed away. Tony was a giving and loving person and his strength was seen in his will to thrive after a devastating accident at such a young age. Still remember him sharing with his young cousins how he was able to drive and leave and enter his custom vehicle. His patience, compassion, love, and perseverance will be missed. Revelation 21:4 I look forward to know more death, pain, and outcry the former things will have passed away. To my family may love and comfort support you in this time of grief. Love you Cynthia Ragsdale
