The funeral services for the late Mrs. Jessie Mae Evans of 129 Henry Road, Sylvester, Georgia, who departed this life on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her residence, will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shepard Memorial Garden in Sylvester, Georgia. Mrs. Jessie Mae Evans was born on July 14, 1959 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Abe, Sr. and Agnes Young Dawson.
Jessie Mae was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Robert Lee Evans on March 14, 1980. She was a housewife and a homemaker.
Jessie Mae loved her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and feed her family on the holidays. Jessie Mae lived a very simple life, and her family meant the world to her. Jessie Mae was known by “Fris”, which came from her mother because Jessie used to be “Frisky” when she was a baby.
Our Loved One was called from Labor to Eternal Rest on Wednesday morning, August 18, 2021 at her home. Her parents, her brother, Thomas Young, her brothers-in-law, Amos Evans, Julius Evans, Jessie Harris, have all preceded her in death.
Jessie Mae leaves to cherish her loving and devoted husband, Robert Lee Evans; her daughter, Consiwulla (Adrian, Sr.) Williams of Sylvester, Georgia; her sons, Derick (Michelle Butler) Dawson of Thomasville, Georgia, Poncellis Evans, Jamie Lee Evans, both of Sylvester, Georgia; grandchildren, Colby Evans, Summer Evans, Harley Evans, Adrian Williams, Jr.; sisters, Gwendolyn (Jimmy) Farley, Lawanda Dawson, Tracy (Willie) Dennard, all of Albany, Georgia; brothers, Reverend Abe Dawson, Jr. of Syracuse, New York, Alonzo Dawson of Albany, Georgia, Monterio Dawson of Atlanta, Georgia, Reverend Raymond (Judith) Mason of Fayetteville, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Brown of Sylvester, Georgia, Cula Bell Solomon of Albany, Georgia; brother-in-law, R. B. Evans of Albany, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
