Her leadership also saw the issuance of a mayoral proclamation recognizing Albany native and Delta Sigma Theta cofounder, Osceola Macarthy Adams. Additionally, the chapter experienced growth through reclamation efforts, and the petition for a historical marker in honor of Adams is currently underway. She also served as co-advisor to the Delta Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. located on the campus of Albany State University.

Family, please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bring you comfort and peace knowing she was loved beyond what words can express. She was more than an educator. She was more of a mother. She had such a nurturing spirit. She taught me more than what could be found in a book. She is one of the reasons I am the woman I am today and my love for language. She believed in you and took you in with a warm embrace. She was truly an inspiration, a warrior of God and overall a phenomenal woman. She was always there whenever you needed her even for simple yet powerful words of encouragement. I will forever cherish every moment and conversation we shared. She will forever live on in our hearts. God blessed her with a gift that she demonstrated everyday. I will never forget her laugh, her jokes and those bear hugs. She was so funny. To the family: thank you for sharing her with us. If you ever need anything I will be there. Ms. Greene, thank you for being who you were. We miss you and we love you always. This is not goodbye but see you later. May you forever rest with the Lord. 🙏🏾❤️🕊️

I love you my sister!! I'm gonna miss you. Didn't realize in February, it would be our last hug and seeing your beautiful smile ❤️❤️❤️ Brenda Womack Hamilton 🍓

I am still in disbelief my friend and I couldn't fond the words to express my grief. So, I decided to use part of the lyrics from one of most heart felt songs by Smokey Robinson: I'll miss you, my buddy I'll miss you, my friend I promise my love for you will never end I'll miss you, my buddy I'll miss you, my friend I promise my love for you will never end
