Obituary For Robert E. Moore

Mr. Robert E Moore, passed away on May 16, 2024 at the St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi surrounded by his family.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 24, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Liberal Trinity COGIC, Graveside service is Saturday, May 25, 2025 at 11:00a.m. in Autumn Woods Cemetery.

Robert Earl Moore was born on July 20, 1942, to the late Monroe and Nancy Moore in Morton, MS. He was a very kind and friendly person and never met a stranger. He was the third child of ten siblings.
Robert attended Morton Vocational High School (Betty Mae Jack School). After retirement from Metal Processing, he was missed by his friends and was asked to come and work a few hours a day mainly for the fellowship.

In 1964, he married the late Sammie Smith-Moore. To this union, two sons where born: Garrett Moore and Jarvis Moore.

Robert was a faithful and active member of the Liberal Trinity COGIC. He attended Sunday School and would often make his presence known on the conference prayer line by announcing
his name, “Deacon Robert Moore”. He loved attending and helping prepare breakfast for the Men’s Fellowship that would take place on the 1st Saturday of each month. He loved the fellowship of the Saints. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital, God sent his guardian angel to the bedside of Deacon Moore and gently slipped him into a beautiful land of peace and rest. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sammie; his son, Garrett Moore; two brothers: Frank Moore and Stingley Moore, two sisters: Evelyn Moore Lockhart and Flora Geary: and one grandson: Kamden Woodard.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one son: Jarvis (Christie) Moore of Dallas, TX; a daughter in law, Angela Moore of Brookhaven, MS; two brothers: George, and Melvin (Juanita) Moore, one sister, Betty Moore Hayes, all of Morton, MS: seven grandchildren: Kanilia, Jarvis, Trevell, Chloe, Robert, Kaitlin and Kameron; five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
