“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith….” 2 Timothy 4:7
Evangelist Valentino Abraham entered into eternal rest on December 29, 2020 and was divinely saluted for completing his earthly mission. Affectionately known as “Tino,” he was a valiant soldier in the army of the Lord and was committed to winning souls for Christ. His greatest battle occurred when God reached down and declared him the winner over his illness and took him to an everlasting reward. Tino’s life will forever be a testament to fulfillment of God’s purpose.
An avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, Tino’s love, dedication, and loyalty extended beyond the football field and into every aspect of his life. To his family and friends, he will always be considered an all-star with a life profile which was Hall of Fame worthy.
Home Team: Tino was the 5th child born to Pastor Mary and Co-Pastor Carol Abraham. Under the tutelage and coaching of his parents, he learned the foundation of Christian living and the relevance of teamwork. He was a 1989 graduate of Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia. While in high school, he was a member of the Commodores Football Team and there he was able to practice the learned concepts that cultivated his love for sports.
Draft: On May 19, 2001, Tino was drafted as a first-round pick into holy matrimony with the love of his life, Katina E. Abraham. To this union, was born one daughter, Tiniyah, who would become one of his biggest cheerleaders and the apple of his eye.
Positions: In addition to son, brother, husband, and father, Tino held other positions to include former Consumer Finance Service Specialist for CCO Mortgage and most recently served as a Shop Clerk-Dispatcher for the County of Henrico.
Off-Season Activities: In his spare time, Tino enjoyed coaching football for Central International College and coaching basketball for the Glen Allen Basketball Team. He also held the distinction of both player and coach for the Shoop Park Cowboys.
Championships: As a Champion for Christ, Tino proclaimed God’s Word through preaching and teaching. He was unapologetic and unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was responsible for and successful in leading many to victorious living through in Christ.
Our champion was predeceased by Arronetta Brown (sister), Tanaysia Abraham (niece), Odessa and Nelson Thompson (maternal grandparents), and Ola Mae and Willie Abraham (paternal grandparents), all of which cheered him as he entered the pearly gates of Heaven.
Tino’s legacy will continue to live on through loved ones left to cherish his memories: A loving, devoted wife of 19 years, Katina Abraham; a precious daughter, Tiniyah; compassionate parents, Pastor Mary and Co-Pastor Carol Abraham of Florence, SC; three caring sisters Demetria and Alina Abraham, and Adina Huggins (Dedric) all of Florence, SC; two committed brothers Chipola and Angelo Abraham both of Florence, SC; a supportive mother-in-love, Sallie Vann Turner of Portsmouth, VA; father-in-law, Cornell Elliot Sr. (Delores), brother-in-law, Cornell Elliot Jr; three special friends, Tony Faulks, Michael Wilson, and Chris Clements; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. When I heard the news I truly drop my head Valentino was a good man him and I used to coach for the college football team here in Richmond my heart is soul damage right now realizing that he is gone from here I still cannot believeThat he is not here no more it was truly an honor to be his friend my friend I will see you one day.
I grew up down the street from Valentino. I was friends with his brothers and sisters. Fast forward my daughter got married and moved to Richmond. As a mother I wanted nothing more then for my daughter and her family to be in a great neighborhood, surrounded by good people. The Lord knew my prayers. When I found out that Valentino lived next door.... my worries went away. My only regret is that I did have an opportunity to spend time catching up with him. I send my deepest heartfelt condolences to the family! 🙏🏽 My God continue to pour His strength into his wife and daughter during this time of celebrating the life of Valentino. Prayers sent out to his family as well. 🌹
Demetria, we were shocked and saddened 😢 to hear of the passing of your brother (my brother Tino). He always had a pleasant word and a smile on his face. Over the years, I remember sharing several conversations with him! He will be greatly missed! He is now resting and I know he will hear our God say, " Well done thy good and faithful servant"...and we will see him again. 😇
Please know that you are in my thoughts and I am sending prayers of strength and almighty God will send the comforter to assist his wife (Katina); precious daughter (Tiniyah); Mr. & Mrs. Abraham (Mom & Dad) and the rest of the Abraham family. The Bible tells us that God will comfort those who mourn. 🙏🏾⛪ ✝️

I've had the pleasure of knowing Valentino (Tino) for 17 years. We were colleagues' of CCO Mortgage. He was the nicest, respectful, encouraging Man of God, whom spoke dearly of his family. I'll miss my brother in Christ. May God comfort and keep you, family be blessed. With love, Alora Comfort
💔Lovd you Tino!
It was an honor to meet such a humble young man. Dedicated to GOD and his family. Tino will surely be missed but never forgotten. My prayers go out to the family.
I worked with Tino at CCO Mortgage. He was always quick with a laugh, smile or word of encouragement. He often spoke of his wonderful wife and daughter. I will keep you all in prayer.
I met Valentino Abraham thru his brother Angelo and his sister Demetria. I taught both of them at Maury High School in Norfolk, VA. Angelo brought Tino to our house in Chesapeake and my family and I fell in love with him. He was so earnest, thoughtful, and kind. I guess it was mutual because Tino continued to visit with us after his brother moved away. He played backyard basketball against my two sons. We laughed; we joked, we just had a good time. When Tino met the love of his life, we were invited to the wedding. It was a grand affair. Tino stayed in contact with me. When he found out I had been ill, he made it a point to call and visit with me. As a matter of fact, whenever he was in Norfolk, he made it a point to call me or to visit with me. H told us about the birth of his daughter and about all of her accomplishments. Tino was a delightful and constant friend whom I will miss dearly. I extend condolences to his wife, daughter, and family. he was raised to be a man of God, and he did not stray. Rest on Tino; you did your job on earth and the Lord has taken you home. I will miss you! Sorrowfully, Mabel Larrimore
I PRAY GOD WILL GIVE YOU AND THE FAMILY PEACE AND COMFORT DURING THIS TIME.LOVE YOU ,ESTHER VANN
I didn't know Valentino Abraham personally, but I do know his mother-in-law, Sallie Turner, who spoke highly of him. I read his obituary, and I can see that Mr. Abraham has been a blessing, not only in the lives of his family, but in the lives of so many others. I join others in expressing my condolences. I pray for God's continued Blessings and His comfort in this most difficult time. Keep holding on to God, family! Your loved one is at peace! - Victoria Gray

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." — 2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV) It was a great pleasure to have known Tino! I meet him through my best friend over 35 years ago. He was always one to keep me laughing. As time went on we lost touch until we had the opportunity to speak again on Facebook. It was a great blessing to know he had gotten married and in the ministry. I pray that God continue to strengthen and his wife, daughter and his entire family. God Bless You & keep you.
