Raymond E. Atkins, Sr., 93, of Henrico, died June14, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura E. Atkins. Surviving are his daughter, Veronica Atkins; three sons, Larry, Julius (Crystal) and Raymond Jr. (Jeanette) Atkins; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; two brothers, Thomas and Obidiah (Lois) Atkins; four sisters, Nellie Turpin, Shirley Wells, Shelia Cotman and Wilhelmina Greene (James); host of nieces and nephews, devoted Bernard and Carolyn Silver; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Tuesday, June 20 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 21 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E.
