Obituary For Marcus Carron Dobson

Marcus Carron Dobson, 40, of Henrico, departed this life Thursday, April 27, 2023. He was born to Iona Dobson and Marshall Morris. He was preceded in death by his brother, Orin Nigel Dobson. At an early age, Marcus was baptized at Sharon Baptist Church. He later joined his mother at the New Canaan Baptist Church, southside Richmond, for many years. Marcus graduated from Huguenot High School in 2001. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Iona Dobson; father, Marshall Morris; son, Zakee Light; sister, Lacey Wilson; godchild, Chanique Bowles; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott’s Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2023 followed by the family receiving friends from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Scott’s Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 8 at Antioch Baptist Church, 1384 New Market Road. Rev. James Sailes officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
