I met John at a CBD-IAI conference many years ago and Sylvia introduced him as her life-long best friend. John was so affable and unassuming and was everyone's best friend. John would converse with me as if he had known me forever. He loved his family deeply and was always anxious to tell me things about his grandchildren. I always looked forward to John attending conferences with Sylvia because I was confident of being in the company of a friend. His smile and laughter will always remain deep inside me.
