Jessie E. Lyons, 70, of Henrico, died May 12, 2023. Surviving are her sister, Brenda Lyons; two brothers, William H. Jr. and Joseph L. Lyons; host of nieces and nephews; two aunts, Gladys Ward and Shirley McFarland; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Monday, May 22 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Rev. Linda Pearson, officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Live streaming.

Jessie Elizabeth Lyons was my cousin, we called her sistah Gail. we also share the same name Jesse, a long with her mother. So to keep the tradition, my son is named Jesse-IV. I went to live with them in Richmond, in 1983, it was cool being around her, Brenda,Joe, junior, and Butch. I'm sorry I missed the services.
