In gratitude I am for Queen Jean Elizabeth Thompson Williams...
For her Love, Grace & Devotion for family & her community.
For birthing & raising her beloved daughter Casey/Cassandra Lynn (my BFF from High School)
For her steadfast unwaivering commitment as an educator in the arc of the integration era (she taught my older siblings in segregated West End School and served as I believe as one of the first if not the first African American principal in integrated Mary Mumford Elementary that I attended.)
For her entrepreneurial spirit, she forged in running her travel agency with family at the helm to see the world anew
And for all the communities Jean called "family" including Riverview Baptist Church & soooo much more!
I am still tearing up from viewing the gorgeous memorial video to say life well lived Queen Jean. Thank YOU for your service & commitent to excellence!

Casie, Your mom was a grand lady. I enjoyed the many years of knowing her throughout the years as your teacher. She supported anything, everything, and everyone who was a part of her Casie's life. When I think of your mom, Jean, I will do so with a smile.
In prayer with and for you, Rita H. Willis (SeñoRita)
GOD IS GREAT. THANK YOU LORD
In 1969 Mrs. Williams rented a room to me. I was a student teacher at Clark Springs Elementary School. She was kind and compassionate. Cassandra was a little girl at that time. Peace and love to Cassandra, family and friends. Phyllis May
To the family of Jean Williams, please accept my deepest sympathy regarding the death of Jean. I enjoyed my friendship with Jean and the times we spent together in the Links and AKA. Jean was a very kind person and would check on me during my health struggle.
