Jearlene Annie Marie Mosby (name changed later in life) was born on October 14, 1938 to Simon Bradford Mosby, Sr and Mildred Magerline (Johnson) Mosby. Geraldine was extremely close to her family members ---- her siblngs in particular. Geraldine attended the Henrico County public schools near Richmond, VA, and moved to the Nation's Capital, the District of Columbia shortly after marrying Haywood Lawrence Christian. Sr. Their long union was blessed with one child, his father's namesake, Haywood Lawrence Christian, Jr. Geraldine was incredibly proud of her only child throughout his youth for many reasons including his gift of excelling at basketball, and his scientific and mathematical aptitude. Haywood Jr. attended college in Wisconsin and served honorably in the United States Air Force. Sadly, both her husband and son predeceased Geraldine. But, she is survived by a loving and very supportive brother-in-law, Rev. Frederick Chrisitian and his wife. Geradine could prepare the best turkey ever with the plastic bag method, and she prepared devlied eggs extrmely well. Geraldine was very proud to live in Washington, D.C. and was a huge fan of the Redsksins. She watched games enthusiactially and rooted on her team to victory for many years. In fact, she had an impressive collection of memorabilia. She had epic parties and simple loved music and to dance the night away. Geraldine enjoyed travelling on cruises, bus trips and even by car or bus to destiinations such as Atlantic City and Las Vegas. She exercised routinely in her courtyard and really liked playing Solitaire. Geraldine liked eating seafood quite a bit, and she had to have her morning coffee. She was a snazy dresser and had beautiful taste in jewelry. Her smile was infectious and her laugh was so funny. Geraldine was loving, generous, hard working and very kind. She often spoke of her 32 year career at the Hyatt Hotel with pride.
