Vasthi, Amber, Jade and family. My condolences to the family. Deacon Betty has always been a ray of sunshine, encourager, supporter & mentor in my life. She attended my Sunday School class & was quite a Bible Scholar. I enjoyed working with her in the Richmond Drama Guild. She was such a blessing in my life and she will be truly missed. Dear Vashti,

You and your family are in my warm thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort. We go "way back" and so news of Betty's passing hit home. Thank you for choosing a photo of Betty that brought back a flood of memories from our childhood and of our times together in Black Mountain. Those memories of you with your mother and grandmother, and me with my mother and grandmother, are precious now. Betty was not only a cousin but a dear friend to my mom.
