Elaine T.Smith, one of Lloydls"recycle senior citizen as he would call us, his friends. We belong to St.Philips Baptist Church and lived in St.Marks Apartments before their moving to S.C.They are so missed. Mr.Lloyds humor and jokes which all did not,is missed. I can hear him saying time for the phone call, meaning the nightly call to Louise's mom.I miss how he worried and would tell Louise's check on whoever was ill. His caring was genuine.I also miss getting those four peaces of chocolate he would give me.I thank God for sending such a gentleman my way. God bless and continue to cover Louise's and the family. Condolences and Love "Smittie"
The news of Uncle Lloyd's passing was so very unexpected because we were so very sure that God would heal his body to keep him from infiltrating heaven... But we all know that God makes no mistakes. We are all going to miss our monthly Jersey phone calls that kept all of us in our place as only Uncle Lloyd could do. With each ounce of fussing, he shared an equal amount of love for us. Auntie, our hearts will be forever heavy, but we will also be forever grateful for having Uncle Lloyd in our lives! Thank you for being a part of the many wonderful memories we all have from our yearly family gatherings!
Words seem inadequate to express the sorrow felt by the loss of Uncle Lloyd. You have received your crown, fitted with your wings. As you have passed over to glory, know that your pebbles of wisdom you provided, still guide me daily.
My heart is with "Unc" , I'm sure you are making folks laugh in heaven as you did here on earth!
Love, your nephew! Kenneth Lockett
