Danny Lee โTreetopโ Burgess, 68, died Thursday, March 13, 2025 at MUSC, Florence, SC. He was born December 2, 1956 in Greeleyville, SC. A son of Annie Ceil McClary Burgess and the late Cleveland Burgess.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 til 6:00 PM Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr., Memorial Chapel, 114 North Church St., Manning, SC.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2025 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Greeleyville, SC. Burial will follow in the Churchyard Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends beginning Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Carl and Hattie Nelson, 248 Holliman Rd., Greeleyville, SC from 2:00 PM til 8:00 PM daily.

Mr Danny was the kind of rare human and spirit that was a privilege to cross in path. Whenever I would visit my family in Myrtle beach, and I would get the opportunity to see him pop his head out from around a corner and say hello with, what seems to be, the warmest, most comforting sweet smile, accompanied by his insisting aura of reassuring calm would lift my spirits everytime. I will forever remain grateful to have known such a human as Mr Tree. May his memory be eternal. โค๏ธ
