Age 20, a native of Mobile, passed away on June 3, 2024. Thomas Joseph Martin was born in Mobile, AL on October 26, 2003 to Meosha Hart and Jason Martin. Thomas was a very intelligent and curious individual; ahead of his years in his wisdom and maturity. Thomas had such a gentle spirit and was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. Thomas was naturally smart and completing his school assignments was effortless. His friends would refer to him as the smartest one of the crew.
Thomas was a loving son and devoted big brother. As the eldest grandchild, Thomas was an amazing example for his younger cousins.
In 5th grade, Thomas discovered music and his passion for the trumpet. Thomas spent the next 7 years perfecting his craft; spending all 4 years of high school as a proud member of the Pride of Baker Marching Band.
In the Spring of 2021, Thomas graduated from Baker High School in Mobile, AL. Thomas applied and was accepted to the University of Alabama Birmingham, the University of South Alabama, and Bishop State Community College. Having initially planned to study Engineering, Thomas chose to change course and pursue his true passion; cars. Thomas would eventually become the unofficial mechanic for his friends.
During his courageous battle, Thomas spent much of his time ordering parts and modifying his car, which he’d hoped to enter into a car show. Although Thomas’ life was short, he has left an everlasting impression to all those that knew and loved him.
Thomas was preceded in death by his namesakes; Paternal Grandfather Thomas J. Martin Jr. and Maternal Uncle Joseph Christopher Hart; Great Grandparents Harvey (Annie K) Eaton, Thomas J. (Laura) Martin Sr.; Lemmie (Ella) Hart; Charles Hart; and Great Aunt Laura Miller.
