Lazarus Tanksley was 30 years old, nick name was Larry, he was a loving father, son, and brother. He leaves behind one son Barrack Tanksley and one daughter Lillith Tanksley. Mother Ruby Garmon and two sisters, Shannon Simpkins and Rachael Trenier. Lazarus left behind 2 nieces Kayleigh Simpkins and Kensley Simpkins. Lazarus was the best uncle brother and son who would bend over backwards for his family. Lazarus was a hard worker, he started off as a dishwasher and worked his way up and became a cook at Half Shell Oyster House. Lazarus went to work every day and worked double shifts. Lazarus had just received his degree in heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration from Fortis College in hopes of owning his own business. Lazarus was taken from us too soon on New Years Day and he will forever be in our hearts. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. No further information is available.

With deepest sympathy and prayers to the family. Larry was very close to my family. Larry and my son was very loyal adopted brother. He was the best adopted uncle to my grandchildren. There are no words that can ease the pain you feel in your heart.... However, trust and know that God is with you all during this difficult time of grief, and we will forever keep you lifted in prayer, and we hope you find comfort in the words of Jesus in John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
