Walter Frank Stewart, Sr., 62 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his residence in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Tuesday, July 18, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the son of the late James Stewart and the late Lizzie Collins Stewart. Walter was also preceded in death by his stepfather Eddie Webster.
Surviving are son, Walter Frank Stewart, Jr., sisters, Grace Mae Littlejohn, Virginia Jones, Helen Stewart, and Fannie Hefling; 3 grandchildren, Latrell Stewart, Londyn Stewart and Carlito Stewart. His ex-wife and dear friend Darlena Caston and mother-in-law, Helen Johnson and his brother-in-law, Antonio Johnson, Walter, also leaves to cherrish his memory,his bonus children, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 24, 2024 from 6:30pm-8:00pm at R.S. Lewis Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove, Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Stewart will be lie in state on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 9:00AM until 10:50AM at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church 3636 Weaver Road 38109. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Mt Pisgah Baptist 3636 Weaver Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38109.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Southwood Cemetery, 5485 Hacks Cross Rd, Memphis, TN 38125

I first met Walter in 1994 as a new courier at OLVA STATION IN Memphis,Tn He told me and some more new couriers to stay by him and he would teach us everything we need to know and we did when we went to courier class we pass with Flying colors, and he taught Me how to get extra hours at the station Walter was a good men he did not mind helping others So I thank him for that Every time we will see each other, we will say what's up red I said, or he said you gotta red Because Walton and I are Dark skin so him and I used to call each other red , I'm sending comfort and strength to his family.
