Obituary For Vivian Garmon

Vivian Garmon, 96 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at her residence in Memphis, Tennessee.

Vivian Bell Garmon was born March 13, 1927, to the union of the late Searcy and Jennie Bell in Memphis, Tennessee.

After attending Melrose High School, she married at a very young age. They moved to Buffalo, New York, and lived there while her husband served his country in the United States Navy. They started a family while in New York, and later moved back to Memphis after his discharge. Here, the family grew, and she was a stay-at-home mom for many years.

Her mother was one of the first converts at St. Augustine Parish. The family has belonged here ever since.

She retired from St. Francis Hospital.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Robert (Patsy) of San Bernardino, California, Arabelle, Georgia, Jennie (Billy), & Vivian (Ken) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Samuel. She also leaves five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a niece, two nephews, and two great-nieces.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10:30am-11:30am with a rosary to being at 11:30am and funeral services to follow at 12:00noon all will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church 1169 Kerr Ave, Memphis, TN 38106

Interment will be in Forest Hill Midtown, 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN 38106
