Marvin Woods, 77 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Sunday, February 17, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Fred McGhee and the late Alberta Sawyer. He was the husband of Thelma Woods. Surviving are sons, Michael Woods and Kerry Lee, daughter, Lynette Lee, brother, Walter Woods, sisters, Mary McNease, Carolyn Chapple and Marilyn Stepney; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews to celebrate his home going. . The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove, Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Morning Chapel Baptist Church located at 8701 Trinity Road Cordova, Tennessee 38018. Interment will be in Morning Chapel Baptist Church, Cordova, TN.
