I have several memories of uncle Marvin first when me & my sister Shelia drove with him & Aunt Thelma ( I can't remember if Kerry, Lynette and Michael was in the car with us I'm assuming they was) brought us from Augusta Georgia we stopped at Niagara Falls it was a beautiful site to see on our way to home to Illinois. Secondly, I remember he brought me & all of my sisters large puzzles. It wasn't really a puzzle, but it was a large block that you use wires to make a ships at first I was like really I was young but I wanted something more but once I put those large puzzles/pieces together to form a ship it was amazing . He love taking pictures He was awesome at it . I will always remember his smile and how he treated me.

You have not left us Uncle Marvin you went home to be with your father🙏.

Marvin had the most infectious laugh. When you heard it, you knew it could be nobody else. Growing up Saturday wasn't Saturday if he didn't show up with a box of fisted flakes and milk to sit with us "kids" to watch Bullwinkle and Rocky. Cuz you were more like the fifth brother. To those you left behind, my heart goes out to you as my family shares in your loss.

Brother In Law I will truly miss you, I remembered being driven to st Louis by a friend duruing my moved to St Louis when your asked him to come in and rest he responded NO he had to trun around and head back out.you thought that was the funniest thing,causing you to laugh for days. My sympathy to the Woods family. I knew Marvin for many years as a student of the Word of God and a bible study teacher. My the Lord comfort the family as you adjust to this loss.

Uncle Marvin, Thank you for introducing me to Jazz music, listening to it on your reel to reel while developing pictures. I'll never forget you walking me down the aisle, and as I cried, you asked "Are you sure this is what you want? You don't have to do this." I should have listened to you. You were a joyful person whom many memories were shared.

Uncle Of all the many blessings However great or small to have had you for an uncle was the greatest gift of all. The family chain is broken now and nothing will be the same But as God takes us one by one the chain will link again.

My fondest memory of Uncle Marvin was going to forest park in Saint Louis on the weekends and special holidays where he would often toss the kids into the lake just to get a good laugh. Rest in peace

There were so many good memories with my grandad I won't mention all of them but a few were when he always took me walking to the park, taking pictures,I would help develope photos with him,or when he would let me help make his delicious homemade ice cream and Im forever grateful for him being a part of my life.He was a great grandad with good taste in music.
