Louise Arnett Sullivan was born on December 12, 1928, in Moscow, Tennessee, to Fred Arnett and Zelma Brown Arnett. She departed this life on September 16, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital. Louise confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie Watkins, where she served as an usher and as a member of the Mother’s Board. She later moved her membership to Divine Favor & Fellowship Ministries under the leadership of Servant Leader Terry D. Smith, Sr. and faithfully served as a part of the Mother’s Ministry. Louise began her career at Hanley Elementary School and retired from White Station Jr. High School with the Memphis City School System. She was united on holy matrimony to John L. Sullivan on October 30, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons, Edward Sullivan, Michael Sullivan and Thomas Sullivan; sisters, Ora Mae Harvey and Florine Stone; her brothers, Fred Lee Arnett, Wesley Lee Arnett and Bennie Lee Arnett; a granddaughter, Tonya Davis; and two grandsons, Roy D. Sullivan and Brandon Sullivan.
Psalms 90:10 The days of our years are three score years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be four score years, yet is there strength, labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Louise leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Marie Hughes-Wiggins (Clifton), Irma Hughes, Rubye Sullivan, & Juanita Sullivan all of Memphis, Tennessee, and Ethel Turner (Rick) of Hoquiam, Washington; her sons, Larry Sullivan, Roychester Sullivan and Edwin Sullivan; sisters-in-law, Bertha Boyd, Mandy Jones, Alberta Patrick, and Ida Mae Jackson (Milton); brothers-in-law, Pink Hurdle Jr. (Penny), John Willie Doyle (Betty) and Derell Key; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-six great-grandchildren, twenty-five great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 1, 2021 from 4:00pm-6:00 pm at RS Lewis 2944 Walnut Grove Road Memphis, TN 38111. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 11:00am at Lagoshen Baptist Church 490 Lagoshen Drive Moscow, TN 38057. Internment will be held at Lagoshen Baptist Church Cemetery
