Lillie M Jordan was born September 11, 1947, to the late Willie Mae Fitchpatric and Augustus Jordan in Rossville Tennessee. She was the second oldest of thirteen children. Lillie was lovingly known as “Tennie” to some and “Bull” to others. Lillie accepted Christ at an early age while attending Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Rossville, Tennessee. Lillie was one of the longest appointed Realtors to the Memphis Shelby County Board of Equalization. She served as an advocate for seniors to receive a tax freeze on their property taxes as well as assisting all citizens of Shelby County in receiving a fair assessment of their property values. Lillie was also voted two years in a row to the Board of Directors of Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) in 2007 and 2008. Lillie taught real estate and worked at several companies as a licensed broker and a certified real estate specialist. She was a mentor and a constant learner with several certifications. Lillie was a Professional Real Estate Agent that embodied the word “public servant” while accepting several community achievements during her career. She departed this life on Saturday Oct 8, 2022, at 8am at her home. Lillie leaves her only devoted daughter Bernetta DeShell Johnson (Jerome) of Memphis Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her son, Marvin L. Thomas Jr and granddaughter Sharae Thomas. Lillie leaves a host of siblings: James Jordan (Jean), Jewel Jordan (Dee), Chestine Burnett, Lee Russell Jordan Sr(Connie), Almedia Stigger (Cornell), all of Memphis Tn. Darlene Jordan Rossville TN. JoAnn Jones (Stacy) of MS. Jerry McClain (Burnett) of Collierville TN. Leonard Jordan (Altregia), Michael Jordan of GA, and Cornelious Jordan (Vanessa) and Cory Jordan of Nashville, TN. She also leaves 3 grandchildren; Khem Webb, Zakiya Webb and Ashunta Johnson along with 3 greatgrand children, Tevin Buchanan, Amari Buchanan and Amariah Buchanan all of Memphis Tn. along with her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and “children” she claimed along her journey of life.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at RS Lewis & Sons 2944 Walnut Grove Road. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 22, 2022 11:00am at Lagoshen Baptist Church 490 Lagoshen Drive Moscow,TN 38057
Internment will be in Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery Rossville,TN
