Obituary For James Bolden

James W. Bolden was born November 16, 1941, to Otis and Annie May Bolden in Memphis, Tennessee. James attended Booker T. Washington High School. James self-contracted as a construction worker. James united in marriage to Helen H. Bolden. To this union two sons were born. James enjoyed talking about the Lord and watching television shows such as “In The Heat of The Night” and “The Price Is Right.” James departed this life on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Commona Darcel Bolden, parents, Otis and Annie Mae Bolden, three sisters and his three brothers. James leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Ulana Y.B. (Curtis) Young; three sons, James E. (Sandra T.) Bolden of New Ulm, MN, James W. Bolden, and Carlos Bolden; eighteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Vernice Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 9:00am-10:00am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00am both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons 2944 Walnut Grove Road

Internment will be held at Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens 6235 Raleigh Millington Road
