Holly Renee Epps, so affectionately known as “Hollywood” was elevated from Hollywood to Heaven on October 3, 2023. She was born January 26, 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Aberdeen and Lucy E. Cooper. She was the seventh child of nine children.
She graduated from Overton High School “Class of 1978”. She retired from First Horizon Bank where she was employed many years. She was currently employed with Best Nurses as a home health aide.
She loved life, family, and celebrating her birthday with loved ones at her favorite restaurant “Capital Grille”. She was a loving and cheerful individual who had a heart of gold. She had no biological children; however, she was a mother to many. She accepted Christ and was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Lucy E. Cooper (mother) at Peter’s Rock Church of the Apostolic Faith where she received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. She was an active member in the church through witnessing and evangelizing to those she encountered. Holly used her voice to glorify God; she was an active member of the gospel group “Sincere Praise”. She served as secretary at Peter’s Rock Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Lloyd Cooper. She later joined and united with New Life of Memphis under the leadership of Bishop Kevin Willis Sr.
She united in holy matrimony with Deacon Henry E. Epps Sr. in 1998, where she gained a bonus daughter, Traci (Everett) Marshall, and two bonus sons, Henry (Lynn) Epps Jr., and Jamaal Epps. Preceding her in death are: her husband, Henry E. Epps Sr.; brother, Steve H. Cooper; and sister, Bettie J. Lovett.
