Washington High School and earned her cosmetology license from the Allura School of Beauty Culture. She was a beautician and taught cosmetology for more than twenty-five years. Her popularity among her students and her role as a mentor to many is a testament to her vibrant personality. Helen enjoyed traveling and frequently took trips with her longtime partner, Robert Henry Mosby. They traveled far and wide, often taking family members with them. Helen and Robert Mosby were together for over 77 years and married in April 2011. Helen was a faithful longtime member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Memphis. She was feisty, loved to talk and had an excellent sense of humor. One of her favorite pastimes was visiting the casinos in Tunica, Mississippi. Helen lived a full life until her passing.
