Dianna Jones began her life in Canton, Mississippi, on March 20, 1952, born to the late Earl and Carrie Mae Adams. Her family relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, where she accepted Christ at an early age.
She was a proud graduate of Northside High, Class of 1970. Although in middle school, she met the love of her life and married Howard Jones on December 11, 1971, at Union Grove on Brown Street. From this union, three children were born.
If you know Dianna, then you know she would have given David a run for his money, because she would have danced out of her clothes. She was a smooth stepper with a beautiful soul. Her smile was infectious, and she brought joy to everyone that she met. She loved to be surrounded by her family, which she loved with all her heart.
We love Dianna, but God loves her best and she departed this life and received her heavenly wings on December 21, 2023, in the arms of her loving husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Carrie Mae Adams, and her brother, Thomas Adams.
Dianna leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Howard Jones of Memphis Tennessee; her son, Carviss Jones (Robin) of Monroe, Georgia; two daughters, Renica Yarbrough (Iran) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Rashunda Edwards (Craig) of Monroe, Georgia; three sisters, Patsy Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee, Juliette Walker of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Melba Seaborn of Memphis, Tennessee: one brother, Steve Adams of Memphis, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, special friends, Patricia Jones, Diane Harris, and Linda Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 10:00am-10:55am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00am both will be held at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church 905 Ayers, Memphis, TN 38107.
Internment will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125
