Our sweet boy, Qylon Jamari Thompson, affectionately known as “Qy,” was born on October 28, 2020, in Montgomery, Alabama, to Taina “Juicey” Haggan-Ford of Montgomery, Alabama and Quarick “Quad” Thompson of Hazelhurst, Mississippi. He passed away May 24, 2024, after a two day stay at Children’s of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
Qylon is survived by his parents, Taina Haggan-Ford and Quarick Thompson, a great-great grandmother Siutu Tai, great grandparents John and Ann Ford, Siutu Higginbotham, and Martha Jackson grandparents Brenda Haggan, Timothy Haggan(Dale), Kenneth Thompson and Stacy Green, aunts Mekaylah Harris, Tatyana Ferrell(Kenderick), Timia Abdus-Salaam(Ameer), Tallayeh Haggan-Ford, Taniya Haggan-Ford, Kentaja Thompson, uncles Artavious Cooley and Kendrick Knight as well as many great aunts, great uncles, honorary aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Family hour will be Friday, June 14th between the hours of 4pm-6pm at Ross Clayton Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Shorter Church of God 10221 Hwy 80 East Shorter, Alabama 36075 on Saturday, June 15th at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at New Hope #1 Cemetery Shorter, Alabama.
