Prayers extended to the family of this Lady who inspired me and many others. As a former 7th grade student of hers I remember her beautiful handwriting. In the classroom she challenged me intellectually, encouraged me to excel and believed in me. Long after the days in her classroom when we would bump into one another, she remembered my name and would ask about my family. I'm thankful for her dedication to teaching and also her friendship through the years. May you Rest In Peace Sweet Lady.
To the Tucker Family- My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with your family. Keep looking up..from where your strength, help, and comfort lies. D. Merkerson
Rest well sweet lady. You have definitely touched many lives. I could always come to you for some good girl talk, sprinkled with a little motherly advice and ending with some gut bursting laughter. In one of my favorite stories she told me about she and her husband vacationing and stopped through South Carolina to visit one of the slave plantations where the owners came out and told them how happy their slaves were. needless to say her husband had to expeditiously get her to the car and out of there. I'm not sure how long her husband had known her, but in the short time I'd known her I knew that was a very very BADDDDD idea. Gonna miss your smile and laughter.
One of the great teachers of ECHS. I had her for English and Drama. She had an impact on many students. The last time I saw her I transported her mom home and at first it didn't register who she was until we got to talking. May God comfort her family and those around the family during this time. Lamar Neighbors, ECHS Class of 1985.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all who knew this amazing person. She was one of my favorites. She had such an impact on so many, including myself. I will forever be grateful to have had the experience to be in her classroom. Stacy Mask Cannon ECHS C/O 1992.
One of my favorite teachers at ECHS. My condolences to the family. Keith Mann, ECHS Class of 1982
